12 weeks later, it is time for us to say goodbye…
We have nearly come to the end of our time here in Ecuador – it has gone so quickly! We have been blessed with so many opportunities and have met some wonderful people.
Our last weekend in Santo Domingo was a busy one spent with lots of the lovely people we’ve met during our time here. On Friday, we had a day at the beach with some people from church and it was so nice to see another part of Ecuador. It was a fun-filled day of sea swimming, games and good food! On Sunday we went to both church services to say goodbye to everyone, and felt so blessed to have made so many connections with the wonderful congregation. We visited the Tsachilas community in the afternoon and it was so interesting to learn about their culture. It was a perfect weekend to end our time in the city.
There are a number of projects close to our hearts that we will be continuing to pray for as we return to the UK, and we’d love it if you kept them in your prayers too!
- The San Miguel Bancos Educacion Básicaschool near the Campamento
- The Gran Colombiakids group that runs every Saturday afternoon
- The Primera Iglesia Bautistachurch in Santo Domingo
- The campamento
- Orphaids
We have a small time away together as a team this week before we head to Quito to go to the airport.
Please pray for safe travels back to the UK, for peace as we adjust to our lives at home, for Jessie as she spends another week in Ecuador, and for us to continue to be bold in our faith as we enter the next stage of our lives.
We also want to say thank you to Latin Link members Abby Murphy and Katy Griggs who have supported us throughout our time here in Ecuador – we will miss them!
Thank you so much for your prayers over the last 12 weeks. We have felt so upheld in prayer and we’re so grateful for God’s many blessings during our time here.
“We love because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:19
¡Gracias!
