Letra Viva Network
Since 1996, the Letra Viva network has linked together evangelical Christian publishers producing books in Spanish from across Latin America.
As a result of working more closely together new partnerships have developed, publishers have learned from each other and technical experts, global distribution has improved, and lives have been transformed through the printed word.
Books are essential to the healthy growth of churches in Latin America. And not just any books, but particularly books that speak the language of the heart of the people, books that are both Biblical and relevant, and books that are available!
The 20 Christian publishers who make up the Letra Viva network aim to be self-supporting and cost-effective ministries, but the tasks before us are enormous. For this reason we invite you to stand alongside Christian brothers and sister in Latin America.
From 30 October to 6 November 2026, the network will hold a major international consultation for Christian publishers and writers in Rionegro, near Medellín, in Colombia. The consultation is important because the ongoing need for clear, relevant, Biblical materials has to adapt to our ever-changing social and church scene. At the same time, the publishing world is also changing – printed books are still the main need but ways of producing them have changed with Print on Demand (POD), e-books, Metadata, and the use (or not) of AI.
The consultation is also urgent now because it will give us an opportunity to pray and plan for the Letra Viva network (now approaching its 30th birthday!). Who will our partners be in the future? Who will be taking a lead? And how can we develop cooperative projects that will strengthen Christian publishing in Spanish? Pray with us for the Lord’s leading and empowering.
