Katie is currently preparing to serve with Latin Link in Colombia. Having previously completed shorter placements, Katie felt called to return to Latin America longer-term.

She is planning to serve with the Iglesia Verdad y Gracia (Truth and Grace Church), a Baptist church which was planted 15 years ago in Bogotá. The church has various ministries, including a mission to the Wayuu indigenous group living in northern Colombia, and Casa Crea which is a school currently teaching 12 children from the church family.

Initially, Katie plans to support Casa Crea with English teaching whilst getting to know the church family and building relationships. The longer-term hope is that she will be able to support as part of a team of women meeting pastoral and discipleship needs.
