In November 2024, Ethan will fly to Recife, Brazil, where he will serve at De Braços Abertos (With Open Arms), a local non-government organisation.

De Braços Abertos was founded by mission workers from the USA, Switzerland, and the UK, with the desire of providing a safe space and shelter for children and young people who find themselves at risk.

Ethan will be support their sports ministry, Christian school, and community outreach. These projects seek to support and reach children, young people, and their families, with the good news of Christ. They also provide them with a safe space to grow, develop, and receive a qualtiy education which provides opportunities for the future. Ethan will be involved in supporting a number of different activities throughout the week including English lessons, music classes, and sport, particularly football.

Ethan will also work alongside Josh, a local mission worker, to support him with outreach to the local community, and will attend regular language lessons in the first few months.
