On my gap year 2023-2024, Iāve had the amazing opportunity to go overseas through Latin Link. Latin Link is a Christian organisation based in the UK that sends out teams to Central and South America. Starting in March, I will be spending four months in the Americas with my team, where we will be linked with a local church. The countries we are going to are undecided at the moment, but they will either be Guatemala, or Bolivia and Ecuador (two months in each).
I am so excited to serve God wherever I am placed, and I hope I will learn and grow in my faith, as Iām sure this experience will help me in my journey with God.
In our teams, we will be involved in various community work, such as kids work, building projects, and working alongside local churches.
Prayers are obviously very welcome: that all the planning and travel runs smoothly, that our team will get on really well, that we donāt feel too overwhelmed or homesick, and that Godās will will stay at the forefront of everything that we do.
